Best San Diego Hiking
trails is a free resource of over 200 hiking trails in San Diego County from the coast to the desert. We
have included hikes with waterfalls, hikes with great views
but most importantly hikes you can really enjoy. We decided to put this site
together because we love hiking in San Diego County but
couldn't find a great hiking trail resource for San Diego
County.
Hikes on the site range from easy to difficult so make sure
you are prepared before setting out. Always check weather and
take a map or gps just in case.
Our ratings are subjective and
how hard they are depends on your level of fitness, how hot it
is, whether you had a good breakfast and how much fun you had
the night before.

There are many different hikes in
San Diego,
some easy, some moderate and some difficult. Some well known
trails include of course
Cedar Creek Waterfall
(Trail sadly closed) mentioned above which is one of the busiest hikes other
than
Iron Mountain and
Cowles Mountain. Cedar Creek also has
the dubious honor of having the most accidents of any hike in
San Diego, so please be careful out there and take plenty of
water for you and your dog!
These trails are still
fun and we encourage you to hike them if you haven't already.
Some of the hikes listed are off trail so please make sure you are prepared. Here is a checklist of what you should be carrying.
